100% of funds is donated to Ukrainian Armed Forces
Today, UACatsDivision took the next step to support our defenders, completing the fundraising in partnership with the KOLO Foundation for 100 DARTS kamikaze wings for the defenders of the 58th Motorized Brigade. 4 million hryvnias raised for explosive drones.
This was no simple fundraising effort. The team carefully selected not only the partner but also the purpose and technology to maximize the effectiveness of the funds raised. The FPV drone, designed as a fixed-wing aircraft, can easily strike targets up to 55 km away and, with a ground station, can extend its range to 100 km. Within this radius, any enemy equipment or concentration of troops could be struck by the "plane" carrying 8 kg of explosives.
In the hands of skilled FPV drone pilots, the DARTS can turn enemy metal into scrap worth millions of dollars. Given the cost of each drone, our donation becomes an investment with an exceptionally high ROI.
The equipment will be handed over to the soldiers of the 58th Motorized Brigade named after hetman Ivan Vyhovsky
The soldiers of the 58th Motorized Brigade named after hetman Ivan Vyhovsky defended the Donetsk and Luhansk regions before the full-scale invasion. Since February 24, 2022, they have fought in Chernihiv, Bakhmut, Kupiansk, and Lyman directions. They are currently active in the Donetsk region.
The brigade’s social media pages frequently show videos of these soldiers repelling continuous Russian assault attempts with a small number of personnel and minimal equipment. They have taken down nearly a thousand occupiers and hundreds of enemy vehicles, including the 2C3 "Akatsiya" and 2C5 "Hyacinth" self-propelled guns, BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers, and the ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" self-propelled anti-aircraft gun.
Needed technology to crush occupiers and their equipment far beyond the front lines
Since the full-scale invasion began, UAV operators have refined their skills with FPV drones to a fine art. However, the enemy has adapted to standard kamikaze drones, so something with greater range and more explosives is needed to hit truly valuable targets. To achieve this, we are providing 100 DARTS FPV drones with fixed wings.
A DARTS drone can search for a target in the air for up to 90 minutes. The drones operate with guidance, allowing operators to recognize and lock onto typical targets within a kilometer of the objective. Another advantage of these wings is their operation on non-standard frequencies, making them less vulnerable to enemy electronic warfare.
